1.1 Introduction
Now a day’s almost all organizations use computer based information system. While many organizational activities and resources have long been devoted acquisition and processing of information, the advent computer has greatly extended our information processing capabilities. Computer has influenced organization of all types and sizes to it speed, accuracy and information retrieval capability. The microcomputer has enough power and speed to eliminate may formerly tedious operations and free to use our mind in new creative ways.
Before the advent of Database Management Systems (DBMS) organizations typically stored information using traditional file processing system. But keeping organizational information in a conventional file processing system has a number of disadvantages like difficulty of accessing data, data isolation, integrity problem, atomic problem, concurrent anomalies etc. To overcome these problems we need to organize data into Database Management System from conventional file and these difficulties among others have prompted the development of DBMS.
A Database Management System (DBMS) consists of a collection of interrelated data and a set of programs to access those data. The collection of data usually refers to as the database, contains information about one particular enterprise. The primary goal of DBMS is to provide and environment that is both convenient and efficient to use in retrieving and storing database information.
Database system is designed to manage huge amount of information. The management of data involves both the definitions of structures for the storage of information and the provision of mechanisms for the manipulation of information.
The importance of information in most organizations which determines the value of the database has led to the development of a large body of concepts and techniques for the efficient management of data.
We have developed “A Hall’s Employee & Student Data Base System” software using both Visual Basic programming language and MS Access. This software is developed for use by An School’s Administrators. Here the necessary information are organized in a database it becomes very easy to manipulate the data with greater accuracy.
1.2 Objectives
The main objective of this software is to fully computerized the students & employees database system of a hall. Particularly the important points have been taken into consideration as the objective of the software:
· Greater accuracy than existing system
· Availability of information
· Less time required
· Minimal cost
2.1 Introduction
The feasibility study looks at the system, which is presently operating, considered its problems and briefly looks at a range of alternative ways of doing the job. The list could include computer solutions with improved clerical system. For each of these possibilities, a list of the costs and benefits is compiling and ‘recommended solution’ presented to management. A feasibility study comprises three tasks:
1. An initial investigation (Investigate problem)
2. An analysis of the findings: This involves the high level planning, scheduling alterative solutions.
3. A cost-benefit analysis, where an estimate of the usage of resources, both in terms of cost and time, are compared with the expected benefits from the new system i.e. recommend the ‘best’ solution.
2.2 Objectives of Feasibility Study
The objective of this software is to achieve efficient, prompt processing of the Hall Management. Information system as well as to give the organized system for the implementation of the modern technology.
2.3 Existing System
It has been observed that font desk officers control the activity of the front desk or the information desk. Any person who wishes to be a member of the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall will have to collect the form of membership from the Hall office. Then he will have to fill up the form accurately and submit the form to the information desk. However, the form and the receipt is sent from information desk to the back end. Where four assistant inspectors has the responsibility to create and store the information in file according to the form number. Then the file is checked by the inspector whether the membership form has any wrong information given or taken. When the file is returned along with the result of approval according to the department of Hall Management. The file is stored along with the member ID.
Convinced that if it is successfully implemented, the problem can be solved to a larger intent.
In my project economic feasibility does not have the conventional meaning of return from the investment. Since it is concerned with the public demand, here feasibility means the investment that is directly related to the goal of the purpose for which the money is invested. So, here the feedback is not kinds.
2.4 Technical Feasibility
This is concern with the hardware and software. It may also include the facility to communicate over a network between front desk and the main passport distribution desk. The feasibility study will need and to consider whether the level of technological advancement needed for the purpose has yet been reached and to determine the ability and the stability of the appropriate technology; potentially if it is neo “state of art” hardware & software. From this point of view my project is fully effective and technical feasible. I have the technical knowledge how to adapt to any change or upgrading that may be needed in case of any advance situation.

Abstract
In this project work, Software has been developed for the “Hall Management System”. The purpose of this software is to provide information about student, employee and other. This software can be used to manipulate the information about students and employee if needed. The program is menu-driven and graphical user interface is used to make it user friendly. It can be handled by mouse click or keyword command. Visual Basic 6.0 environment has been used for developing the software. Microsoft jet 4.0-database engine is used to connect the database.
